What is a Community Group?
MAP Community Groups consist of compassionate and motivated citizens who work together to address human trafficking in their community; they are led and organized by local volunteers.
We recognize that we can do more together than we can as individuals or disconnected groups. Through Community Groups we seek to build a collaborative network that help people use their time, expertise, and resources to more effectively address human trafficking and its root causes.
Who is MAP?
The Michigan Anti-Trafficking Project is a nonprofit organization with a mission to inspire communities across Michigan and beyond to take action against human trafficking and the culture that perpetuates exploitation. We do this through educating the public through trainings and awareness events, engaging communities to work together against exploitation in their area, collaborating with like-minded stakeholders and organizations throughout the state, and advocating for laws that support Survivors and hold Buyers and Traffickers accountable. We believe that human trafficking can be eradicated by ending the demand that drives exploitation.
